I started my career as an engineer in the technology sector and loved every minute. But after a messy corporate merger, I changed careers and jumped into the restaurant business. For twenty-two years my family and I owned a full-service country inn in the Berkshires and then a small cafe in a Boston suburb. Now I find myself beginning a third career as a writer.

The one constant through my first two careers was travel - the Boston area, the states of Washington and Minnesota and then full circle back to Massachusetts.

As I look back, reading has been a big part of most of my life. At some point, ideas begin to form about characters and plot.

What started as two protagonists and a simple story evolved into The Sunrise Series of light romance novellas. My characters are composites of the people I've met in the places I've lived. Their lives, passions and challenges draw from a well of experiences that represent the romance of life. And you'll find some of these characters appearing in multiple stories, much like many lives are interconnected through place and time.
